Currently I'm not running competitively as it's darn
cold out, but everything else below still stands. Right now I'm doing
weights 4 times a week and a stationary bike for an hour every day unless
it's warm enough to run, if it is I run instead.
I'm starting to run competitively now. It started
with just jogging to help quit smoking, then became jogging to get in
shape, and then running to stay in shape. Now it's running races, did
my first one on October 29, 2006. It's a 5 mile run in Central park.
It was 47 degrees Fahrenheit, but the weather channel
said it felt like 37, the wind was sustained at 10 miles per hour with
gusts to 35, and the park is hilly. So not the best of conditions, oh
and there where officially 6450 runners. With all that being said I
ran a 37:06 which is a 7:25 per mile and overall came in 727 out of
6450.
I've had many other hobbies as well. Tae Kwon-Do when
I lived in Canada, here
Boxing in New York, before I broke my arm, here,
no I did not break my arm boxing, I did that Snow Boarding, here
I've given up smoking, that was certainly one of my
favorite hobbies, but I couldn't see any real positive aspects in it
either.
I do watch a lot of movies, I have some reviews about
recent movies on my movie reviews page.
There are some Internet projects that are hobbies
as well, links to those a little later when they are a little further
along.
Oh and Magic, I've taken up magic again, and hope
to get some videos up of me doing some tricks!
